ABOUT MINIUM°
The idea of MINIUM° was born in the summer of ‘03, shortly after Apple released the Power Mac G5. I was immediately fascinated by its look and texture and I wanted to create a matching icon set.
After a long time of changes, problems (the initial source material was lost due to HD problems) and even starting from scratch, here it is. I originally had slightly bigger plans for MINIUM°, like an expanded set of extra icons. But my life has changed over the course of the last years and I hardly found the time to finish the icons at all… So I figured I’d be better off releasing them now.
Most of the icons contained in this set emulate the G5’s look with its “chassis forged of anodized aluminum”. As you may know, in British English “aluminum” is spelled “aluminium”. Hence the name - MINIUM°. MINUM° would just have sounded stupid.
The OS X version of MINIUM° features a bunch of icons with nice “open drop” states… See if you can find them. In addition to that, there are two icons that offer a preview of two upcoming MINIUM° flavors: WHITE and CALABI.
